Dr. Nigma Talib is one of the World’s most respected Naturopathic doctors in the wellness space. We met during the Oscars in 2017, and I consider her a member of my beauty tribe who I lean on for advice and guidance. With a number #1 selling book called “Younger Skin Starts in the Gut”, she is the ultimate boss lady and entrepreneur. I love that she has become everone’s book of wealth when it comes to gut health, skincare and supplements. She has created a perfect fusion of both health and skincare to deliver you the best results you can see and feel. Her Naturopathic methods have created the GLO of famous faces like Kate Bosworth, Rosie Huntington Whiteley, Penelope Cruz and many more.

I wanted to pick her brain a bit and give you an insider look on everything from her approach to her champion products. Her philosophy is truly about beautifying from the inside, out.

1. What made you want to study and practice Naturopathic Medicine? 

As a young child I grew up with so many digestive complaints and I tried conventional medical models and none of them worked. My dad took me to a naturopathic doctor and both my gut and skin issues with chronic eczema 100 percent cleared with the right foods I was prescribed along with lifestyle and supplements.


2. What has been your biggest lesson you have learned in your health practice? 

Go above and beyond conventional lab tests as they alone do not tell you the if you are optimally healthy. 

3. How do you determine your recommendations for internal vs. external remedies? 
I work with each patient like a biochemical detective looking at the root cause of what in the internal is affecting the external and what in the external is creating further dysbiosis and imbalance. 

4. What is the one supplement you think everyone should be taking? 

That’s a tough one because everyone has individual needs. The Beauty in a Bottle is like take a powerful multi-vitamin with added skin collagen boosting , immune support as well as incredible treatment and support for hair skin and nails so this one I would always take 2 capsules per day with food and I don’t leave home without my Healthy Flora probiotics which is once a day.

5. What is your best diet tip for glowing skin?
