In an interview with Vogue Australia, Cate Blanchett mentioned that she's had a "penis facial." And while the facial she's referring to is more suitable for work than what just popped into your head, it indeed involves a human penis.

The actress told Vogue Australia that she had gotten the treatment during a spa date with Sandra Bullock. "Sandy Bullock and I saw this facialist in New York, Georgia Louise, and she gives what we call the penis facial and it's something—I don't know what it is, or whether it's just cause it smells a bit like sperm—there's some enzyme in it so Sandy refers to it as the penis facial," she said according to People. (Mention of the facial has since been removed from the Vogue Australia article.)

Blanchett was referring to the "EGF Hollywood Facial" at Georgia Louise in New York. The treatment begins with "a cleanse, followed by an intensive TCA peel, micro-needling machine and an electrifying mask to calm the skin," according to the Georgia Louise website. Then, the part that earns the treatment its colloquial name: epidermal growth factor (EGF), which is taken from the foreskins of babies and is said to generate collagen. 

It's true that some fancy skin creams and serums contain EGF since it's been shown to help heal wounds. While EGF is sometimes derived from foreskins, some companies use plant cells to create a synthetic, human-like EGF.

Even given the fact that breast milk, urine, and biting have all had their skin-care moments, we still didn't predict this one.
